Attention Kansas Voters:

 

A presidential preference primary election will be conducted in Kansas this year. The date of the election, along with the names of the candidates for the office of President will be available on the Secretary of State’s website at VoteKansas.gov or visit your local county election office for more information. 

 

NOTICE OF PLACES AND DATES FOR REGISTRATION

            Pursuant to the provisions of KSA 25-2310-2311(a), notice is hereby given that on the 20th day of February 2024 all registration books will close for the Presidential Primary Election at the end of regular business hours.  Registration books will remain closed until the 20th day of March 2024.

Registration will be available at the County Clerk’s office, located in the Courthouse, during regular business hours of 8:00 -12:00 a.m. & 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

A citizen of the United States, who is 18 years of age or older, or will have attained the age of 18 years by the next state-wide general election, must register before he or she can vote.  If voters have changed their name or address new registration is required. 

A voter registration application must be completed and submitted to the Stanton County Election Officer.  The application must be made on a form approved by the Kansas Secretary of State (www.stantoncountyks.com) (www.kssos.org) or on a universal form prescribed by the Election Assistance Commission.  Application forms are also available at the office of the County Election Officer located in the Stanton County Courthouse (620)492-2140.

 

 

STANTON COUNTY ELECTION NOTICE 

PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY 

                Notice is hereby given that advanced ballot applications, to be mailed, cannot be processed after February 20th, 2024, for the Presidential Primary Election. Voters will be required to vote in the County Clerk's office from March 12th through noon on March 18th, 2024. 

                Notice is hereby given that public testing of voting equipment will be at the Stanton Clerk’s Office, March 14th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. 

Notice is hereby given that an audit of the votes cast at the Presidential Primary Election will take place March 21st, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. 

Notice is hereby given that the Stanton County Board of Canvassers will meet at 8:30 a.m. on March 25th, 2024, to canvas the ballots from the Presidential Primary Election held on March 19th, 2024.

 

 All will be held at the Stanton County Courthouse 201 N Main St. Johnson, KS.
